ROOF LANTERN BLINDS

Every lantern, every angle, made to measure.

Roof lanterns bring beautiful natural light into your home — but too often they also bring unwanted heat in summer and uncomfortable glare on screens and workspaces below. Because shading is rarely planned into the build, most homeowners only discover the problem once the extension is finished and the sun starts hitting the sofa. Roof lantern blinds solve it retrospectively: templated to fit almost any shape or size, powered without disruptive rewiring, and insulated to keep the room comfortable through every Irish season.

MADE TO MEASURE

Any shape,any span.

Roof lanterns come in every proportion — small squares over kitchen islands, long slim runs above hallways, and big open-plan expanses over living and dining spaces. Our blind systems cover almost all of them. Every opening is templated in person so the finished fit is neat, the fabric sits flat, and the mechanism tucks quietly into the frame — no gaps, no visible hardware, no compromise on the architecture of your ceiling.

MOTORISED CONTROL

Out of reach,within a tap.

Roof lanterns sit above head height, which makes manual cords and wands impractical. Every roof lantern blind we fit is motorised as standard — controlled from a wall switch, a remote, your phone or a voice assistant. Set schedules to close automatically when the midday sun is at its strongest, or open gently at dawn to wake the room naturally.

POWER OPTIONS

No mains?No problem.

Most existing lanterns weren’t wired for blinds when the extension was built, and running new cables into a finished ceiling means chasing, plastering and painting all over again. We offer four power options: mains fused spur, standard 3-pin plug, rechargeable battery, and solar panel. Battery and solar mean we can retrofit motorised blinds into almost any existing lantern with no electrician, no disruption, and no mess.

HONEYCOMB FABRIC

Insulated by design,clean by finish.

Our roof lantern blinds use double-layered cellular fabric — the same honeycomb structure known as Duette. Air trapped inside the cells acts as an insulating cushion, keeping heat in during winter and blocking it out in summer. Lifting cords run through the middle of the honeycomb, so there are no visible holes on the fabric surface — just a clean, uniform finish. Every fabric has a uniform white exterior for a consistent look from the outside, with your choice of colour on the interior. Translucent options let a soft, diffused light through while controlling glare, heat and privacy.
